From the Chamber
The Community Awards Banquet sponsored by the Big Horn Conservation District and the Hardin Chamber of Commerce was held Friday March 29th at the Hardin High School Commons.
A nice crowd attended the annual affair. The speaker was Matt Vincent, a consultant speaking on behalf of the Big Horn River Technology development in Hardin. He has been involved in the data center development and cryptocurrency space here in Montana since it took off two years ago.
The entertainment was provided by Pastor Able Baker and the dinner by 3 Brother's Bistro.
The Big Horn Conservation District gave 2 awards. John Yerger was awarded the Conservationist award of the year and Gloria Menke was given an award for over 40 years of service as the Secretary for the District. Marie Hopkins has been selected for the position.
Many door prizes were given out and a silent auction was held. The mystery box was returned this year by Thor Torske and the highest bidder for it was Mayor Joe Purcell. Larry Johnson won the 50/50 drawing and he generously donated the funds back to the Chamber.
A special thank you to the following business who donated prizes and auction items:
Camp Custer, Bill's Auto Parts, Jimmies, Little Horn State Bank, First Interstate Bank, Sew Queen Designs, Reese and Rays IGA, Bud's, Big Horn Valley Health Center, Big Horn County News, Dairy Queen, Shirley Margheim, Stacey Baumann/Diane's Tax Service, Farmer's Daughter, Do It Best Hardware, JailHouse Gallery, Reisig Agency, Big Horn Conservation District and the Hardin Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture.
